Itanagar: The All India Radio (AIR), Itanagar, is good to go to start another innings with a totally digital version, likely from this week, utilizing Digital Radio Mondiale (DRM) technique. Planning to give better facilities in the realm of radio, AIR, Itanagar, has introduced a DRM transmitter recently which would begin working after being tried and checked.
The DRM technique will entirely replace the simple framework with better signal and reception quality and other telecom facilities for the radio audience said an official statement.
The inclusion zone will equally be more extensive as the station has introduced a 200-KW simple framework, encouraging more individuals to tune in to radio programs broadcast from AIR, Itanagar. AIR, Dibrugarh is as of now working easily on the DRM technique with the 300KW limit.
At present, the comprehensive 27 All India Radio stations have introduced DRM techniques all over the nation. Digital Radio Mondiale AM transmitter, made by Nautel, Canada, is a lot of advanced sound telecom techniques intended to replace simple radio AM broadcasting.
DRM technique has a scope of transmitting four diverse radio programs at the same time on a similar frequency at any given moment over a simple framework where just a single program can be transmitted at once.
