Historically a part of Tibet was inhabited by Monpa people. And hey did you know that the sixth Dalai-Lama whose name was Tsangyang Gyatso was also born here in Tawang?

And if you are a little inclined towards the spiritual side of things then there is all the more reason to visit this place. The reason we say this is because of the grand presence of Tawang Monastery which was founded by Merak Lodre Gyatso in the year 1681 in accordance with the wishes of the 5th Dalai Lama.

Moreover, what makes this place worth your time is the powerful presence of the Brahmaputra river. Initially, it has been said that this place was a long narrow piece of land called Maojli.

Unakoti, Tripura

Unakoti is also known as one of the most amazing places to explore. The sheer transformation of this place will mesmerize you. And did you know that Unakoti is also known as Subrai Khung? Furthermore, this place literally means one less a Koti in Bengali.

This area is particularly surrounded by paddy and sunflower fields that offer a mesmerising view while a person enjoys paragliding activities.

Champaner, Gujarat

An under-rated gem, Champaner of Gujarat is really a place to discover and make some beautiful memories. One can find traces of the archaeological remains which date back to the 16th century where you will get to see enormous buildings and mosques.

A UNESCO World Heritage Site, this place is actually located around the historic city of Champaner. It was built by Sultan Mahmud of Begada, Gujarat. Perfectly studded with plenty of forts and bastions this place is a must-visit for history buffs.
