The government will soon be unveiling Asia’s longest tunnel that will, in no time, become a tourist spot too. In order to provide money, arms and ammunition for soldiers at the China and Pakistan border, Rohtang Tunnel is being built. The construction work of the tunnel, costing Rs 4 thousand crores, is on its last leg. The 8.9km long tunnel is being built with 3D technique and it will just take 15 to 20 minutes for a person to cover this distance.
Himachal Pradesh’s Chief Minister, during his Manali visit, said that the government is aiming at the completion of this project by the end of the year. Apart from that, the ruling party is also ensuring that the tunnel is made in such a way that the travelers from across the globe remember it for the longest time.
The work to install the 3D technology in the tunnel has been initiated. If everything goes as planned then the moment a tourist enters the tunnel, the 3D screens will not just witness the beauty of the nature on the installed screens but will also experience adventure.
Reportedly, the 3D screens will give people an effect as if they are passing through glaciers and forests. Also, in order for travelers to visit the tunnel, special buses will be arranged at the South Portal. Via this bus, they will travel through the tunnel and will witness the beauty and 3D experience of the same.
