Nagaland is famously known as the Wild East of our country and why not so, as everything here from the herculean hills to the gorgeous valleys is worth falling for and exudes a majestic aura. The diverse and magical landscapes of Dimapur, Kohima to the charming Dzukou Valley are a remarkable example of this inland mysticism.
However, with the onset of COVID pandemic earlier this year, everything from tourism to economic activities did come to a standstill. Then, with a series of lockdowns followed by a series of unlocks, some hope could be seen wherein the entire country saw its phased re-opening.
Talking about COVID cases, Nagaland has about 5,671 confirmed cases of coronavirus as of now with only 16 casualties. And currently, out of these 5k+ cases, about 800+ cases are active.
Amid all this chaos and hard times of the pandemic, we at Adotrip have decided to bring you every good news possible to cheer you up a bit. The purpose of doing this is our brand new initiative called #TravelAgainIndia, started out with an agenda of informing our precious users with everything good that has been happening in these hard times and that travel will eventually bounce back.
Talking about Unlock 4.0, with the dawn of September, almost every state saw some more relaxations as compared to the previous lockdown. Keeping pace with this, Nagaland too, under the political leadership of its chief minister Mr. Neiphiu Rio, decided to allow more activities in the state.
Here are the Nagaland Unlock 4.0 guidelines you should know about:
The ministry has decided to continue a strict lockdown in the containment zones. However, the green zones can have social/academic/sports/cultural/religious congregations with a capping of 100 people.
In the wake of Unlock 4.0, there will be no restrictions on the inter-state as well as intra-state for both people and goods. Additionally, there won’t be any e-permit required as well for such kinds of movements. However, any normal returnee or traveller will be permitted to enter Nagaland subject to IPL (Inner Line Permit will still be applicable if travelling through Dimapur)
Places for public gathering like entertainment parks, theatres, auditoriums, along with similar places will continue to remain closed. However, shops, outlets have been allowed to open with a maximum of 50 percent strength on any given day. And after September 20, Marriage related gatherings will be allowed with a capping of 100 people.
Nagaland shares its international borders with Myanmar which will remain closed till further notice.
In order to implement all these measures properly, the local authorities will take the help of Executive Magistrates as the Incident Commanders in their respective local jurisdictions.
With this, all the travel enthusiasts can hope to once again travel and experience the natural bounty of the wild, wild east. And as we stand true to the campaign ‘vocal for local’ do consider planning your travel itinerary with Adotrip’s Travel planner.
