Maharashtra, a hub of economic activities and urban beauty is simply a terrific place to get a glimpse of contemporary India; a blend of art, fashion, culture, traditions and everything in between. A trip to Maharashtra will introduce you to the exciting tapestry upon which the flavours of this immense culture have been woven around.
However, with the initiation of lockdown early this year, Maharashtra with all of India saw a significant depreciation of economic activities and went through a forced but necessary standstill. Due to this, everything from businesses to travel was greatly affected. Due to this, the flow of tourists at travel getaways like Shaniwar Wada, Haji Ali Dargah, Aga Khan Palace was completely dried up.
But as soon as the first unlock came into order, a ray of hope could be seen among the people. The purpose of the first unlock and the ones which followed thereafter was to steadily ease the overall flow of the economic activities and get things settled back to their place. So, in a graded manner everything from the hotels, restaurants, to even cinema halls saw their re-opening amid the so-called ‘new normal’.
Keeping this thought in mind, we at Adotrip have come with an initiative #TravelAgainIndia, it’s motive being to make our users aware of everything happening good in our country’s travel landscape. Take a dekko about the new relaxations rolled out in the state of Maharashtra announced by the Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray’s political party on September 30 which is the part of ‘Mission Begin Again’.
Things Allowed Under Unlock 5.0
1) Now, vehicles which carry oxygen would be able to freely move around without any kind of restrictions on timings.
2) From October 5, all the restaurants, hotels, bars, and food courts have been allowed to operate with a maximum of 50 percent capacity.
3) After procuring QR codes from Mumbai Police Commissioner’s Office, now, all the Dabbawalas too would be able to travel in the local trains.
4) With unlock 5.0, all the industrial as well as manufacturing units producing non-essential items have also been allowed to operate.
5) In Pune, the local trains have been allowed to resume their services.
6) The local government has also decided to re-open libraries along with weekly bazaars. The markets and shops have also been allowed to stay open until 9 pm. However, all the schools, colleges and coaching institutions have to remain closed until October 31.
7) One major change amid the unlock process has been the resumption of Mumbai Metro services from October 19. The metro services have been allowed to re-start in a phased manner with all the social distancing norms in place.
So, if you are someone who was curbing their desire to travel around, this seems to be good news, isn’t it? For now, all we can say is that brace yourselves with hope, more such good news must be on the way. Until then, stay tuned with Adotrip for more such interesting travel updates.
