Delhi and Delhiites never fail to surprise and mesmerize us. Be it the amazing food or the peeps, Delhi is all about smiles, traditions, old culture and happy faces. For the ones who have visited the national capital at least once in this lifetime would definitely want to pay a visit again and this news is just for them.
COVID-19 certainly has changed the way we look at everything, especially tourism. Agreed that people are still sceptical as to go wandering like the old times or sit at home safely, but when everything is opening up in the new normal, is there any stopping for us – the rovers?
So, while the picture is not very rosy in the capital city and the face of tourism too is completely changed, for now, the Government is still making sure to keep tourism alive while making new norms for healthy tourism.
In order to do so, a lot of historical monuments have been reopened, like Qutub Minar, Humayun’s Tomb, Red Fort and so on. Cultural centres like Garden of Five Senses and Delhi Haat have opened up again as well. Although Unlock 4.0 saw the reopening of these places and many more of them, proper screening measures and social distancing is being followed to ensure the COVID-19 cases do not increase or at least can be contained to a certain extent.
Before you head for a trip to Delhi, there are certain guidelines that you must stick to for your safety and the safety of others.
There must be a 1-metre gap between every passenger while queuing, waiting for the train, or travelling by it. Also, elevators can be used by just 3 passengers at a time. Face masks should be on all the time, the sanitization process should be followed stringently, and Aarogya Setu app must be on all the travellers’ phones.
Political, religious, cultural, entertainment, sports, academic as well as social functions must be held with a gathering of not more than 100 people. These limited social gatherings would also happen with the mandatory norms of wearing face masks, thermal scanning, social distancing and constant sanitization and hand washing.
The key is only and only following social distancing while constantly sanitizing your hands. Amid coronavirus, there has been a huge dip in bus usage in Delhi, hence it is one of the safest public transport that can be used currently, obviously with a good sanitizer by your side. Cabs are also safe, as all the biggies of the industry are ensuring safe rides for the passengers. Metro is, again, a very safe option.
