The Brahmaputra River is known as the "Jamuna" in Bangladesh. In Bangladesh, the river is an important and significant waterway, and it is called the Jamuna as it flows through the country, eventually joining the Padma River (a distributary of the Ganges) and forming the world's largest delta, the Sundarbans Delta, before emptying into the Bay of Bengal.
