1. The Longest Luxury River Cruise Ready to Sail from Varanasi to Assam
The longest luxury river cruise in the world is ready to set sail in January 2023, according to Union Minister of Ports, Shipping, and Waterways Sarbananda Sonowal. The Ganga Vilas Cruise would go via Kolkata and Dhaka while linking Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh with Dibrugarh in Assam. The ship will travel through prominent areas with national parks and wildlife sanctuaries, like Kaziranga National Park, the Sunderbans Delta and several other major attractions.
2. Indigo’s Hyderabad- Dhaka Services Soon to Be in Action Again
Due to the increased demand, Indigo plans to resume its Hyderabad-Dhaka flights from December 8, 2022. The flight services will now operate three times weekly with scheduled flight frequencies on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. According to Vinay Malhotra, Global Sales Head, "We are happy to start direct flights between Hyderabad and Dhaka in line with our strategy to link India with International markets post-Covid. It would encourage medical tourists from Bangladesh to India and provide a direct link between these countries."
3. Air India Joins AAPA and FIA to Boost the Aviation Sector
Air India, a full-service airline, owned by TATA, has rejoined FIA (Federation of Indian Airlines) and joined AAPA (Association of Asia Pacific Airlines). In addition, Air India keeps its membership in the International Air Transport Association (IATA). This is being done to strengthen the aviation industry's future by cooperating with domestic and international partners.
4. UP’s New Tourism Policy to Endorse the Establishment of Ramayana & Mahabharata Circuits
Ramayana and Mahabharata Circuits are encouraged to establish under Uttar Pradesh's new tourism policy officially. They will be created as two different circuits, with the Rama Circuit housing all the locations connected to Lord Rama and the Krishna Circuit housing all the locations connected to Lord Krishna. This initiative is expected to enhance the state's religious potential and elevate it as the nation's prime destination for spiritual and religious tourism.
5. The Famous Visakha Utsav Returns this December
Fasten your seatbelts for Visakhapatnam, the city of dreams, is returning with the much anticipated Visakha Utsav soon after a significant hiatus of two years. Thousands of people from West Bengal and Odisha travel to this event because it is a vibrant cultural feast.
