Nothing is permanent, not even this global pandemic. Now that we’re stuck between, ‘Will I or Won’t I travel too soon mindset’, the whiff of respite is that some places in India are calling the tourists with open arms. In this time of oblivion, travellers are seeking hope with domestic tourism. Best Holiday destinations that are close to home are the safest options as you can rush back in case of any emergency. Take this as an opportunity to experience the best road trips ever. Time to be vocal for local!
From Unlock 1.0 to Unlock 4.0, we have manoeuvred to the next series where #travelagainindia comes to rescue for all the travellers whose wanderlust is nudging to venture out. India aims to open most of its routes and domestic flights have resumed at limited capacity. Basic norms such as wearing a mask, social distancing, carrying sanitizer or even travelling light will stay for quite some time, however, life goes on and so will we.
With the ease in restrictions, the desert state Rajasthan is all set to revive tourism. The happy news is that despite impairing the arrival of foreign tourists, many tourist places in Rajasthan such as Mount Abu and Udaipur are witnessing a massive footfall of domestic travellers. By far there has not been a surge in the spread of the virus amongst travellers and all this has been possible due to the effective abidance of the SOPs and safety guidelines that have been issued by the state government.
Alok Gupta, Principal Secretary, Department of Tourism, Rajasthan says, "After missing the entire summer season, people are eager for a getaway. It is a matter of delight that local tourists are returning in big numbers while unlocking tourism, the safety of people is our prime concern.”
The proactive government of Rajasthan is taking several precautions like fumigation and sanitization to ensure the safety of the tourists. The premises are sanitized regularly and tourists are thoroughly scanned, leaving no room for error.
Along with monuments and museums, the Rajasthan government has also re-opened wildlife safaris and biological parks for the tourists once again. There is a slight change in visiting hours, so make sure to check before you leave.
1. Not more than 50 people will be allowed in all social, cultural, religious, sports, political events and marriage events.
2. Bars have been allowed to open from September 1 and metro train have resumed services from September 7 in a graded manner.
3. No local lockdown outside the containment zones has been directed by the state government.
1. Mandatory Thermal Screening for visitors and staff members.
2. Wearing masks and gloves are a must. Staff is also mandated to wear head coverings.
3. Preference will be given to online bookings and digital payments.
4. Only 50 per cent of the usual capacity of tourists are allowed to sit in safari vehicles to maintain social distancing. Maintaining the prescribed distancing limits at reception and queues has to be followed.
5. Children below the age of 10 and adults above 65 are not allowed to visit the wildlife sanctuaries.
6. Queues have to be maintained with prescribed distancing limits.
With these little precautions, see how the tourism sector is trying to revive. All we need is to follow all the rules because precaution is better than cure. Our safety should be a priority. With these safety guidelines, tourists are exploring short and safe vacation in different places in Rajasthan where the fresh breeze unwinds all the COVID blues. The quintessential land of royal culture and opulence of India, Rajasthan is about delving in the ethnicity. The incredible state of India is known for its grand hospitality where guests are treated like Gods. Be the golden city Jaisalmer or pink city Jaipur, the spiritual destination Ajmer or holy land of Pushkar, the sun city Jodhpur and the desert town Bikaner; every holiday place in Rajasthan oozes so much bewilderment.
