Monsoon Trekking Starts in Goa; Check the List of the Best Destinations
As per the latest updates, the Goa Tourism Development Corporation has launched a Monsoon Trekking program starting from Tambdi Surla-Mollem in southern Goa. The state government of Goa is focusing on promoting tourism in the hinterland. GTDC chairman, Mr Ganesh Gaonkar, has also advised tourists to engage in trekking activities safely. Visitors can start trekking from Sonsogor Trek, one of the state's three highest peaks. It is the ultimate destination for a trek that offers breathtaking views from the summit, essentially taking you to the pinnacle of Goa. Along with this, trekkers can also visit the Dudhsagar trek to experience the dense forests of the Western Ghats. The state government of Goa has also listed two more venues for trekking - Hiveram Trek and Pali Waterfall Trek. In an official statement by the Goa Tourist Development Corporation, it is said that the government is focusing on the concept of Atithi Devo Bhava,' which would be made meaningful in the coastal state. Along with this, the boost in the tourism industry will also increase job opportunities for the local people.
