1. Online registration for the 2022 Amarnath Yatra has begun. The 43-day long pilgrimage will be organized between June 30, 2022, and August 11, 2022. Online registrations are open at www.jksasb.nic.in. People from 13-75 years of age can register for the yatra. Registrations will start on 11 April 2022.
2. Greece is looking forward to welcoming a high number of visitors in the upcoming summer season. Tourism officials predict an upsurge of 80 percent revenue growth from 2019. It is expected to be a record footfall before the pandemic brought everything to a grinding halt.
3. Union Minister, Mr. Amit Shah inaugurated the new Indo-Pakistan viewing border in the Nadabet region of Gujarat. Touted as “Wagah of Gujarat,” the area is located 188 km from Ahmedabad. The area gets flooded during high tide and is connected across mudflats by a narrow road. It is part of the Seema Darshan Project that provides access t the civilians who wish to see the Indo-Pak border.
4. Indonesia recently announced the opening of its borders for international travelers leading to a positive travel outlook for Bali. The destination enjoys heavy footfall from South Korea, the UK, Singapore, the US, and Australia. The search for vacations in Bali is witnessing a noticeable increase. Opening up of borders has propelled Indonesia to the third ranking in the list of Destinations in Asia.
