According to our sacred texts, River Saraswati, Ganga, and the Yamuna meet in Prayaga city. Prayaga is the name of the ancient city of Allahabad. Apart from being the holy confluence, it is also considered the place where the drops of nectar had fallen during the Amrit Manthan.

In Hindu Mythology, it is believed that bathing in Triveni Sangamam during Kumbh Mela, cleanses the body and soul while promising the attainment of self-liberation.

It is a very mystical experience to watch different ritualistic poojas that are performed by the Pundits here. Also, common Hindu believers perform poojas like Rudrabhishekam, Ekadash Rudrabhishekam Pooja, Ekadasa Rudrabhishekam Yagya, and others.

Now transformed into a museum showcasing various articles and artefacts of the era of Independence movement in India, Anand Bhawan is the former residence of the Nehru family. With the famous planetarium also situated here, this double-storey mansion was personally designed by Motilal Nehru.
6. Allahabad Museum
One of the national-level museums of India, the Allahabad Museum is situated inside the famous Chandrashekhar Azad Park. The museum provides valuable information about the culture, heritage, and history of the independence movement of India with the help of an amazing display of artefacts related to history, art, architecture, archaeology, literature, and environment.
7. Allahabad Fort
Built during the reign of Akbar, the Mughal Emperor in 1583, Allahabad Fort is a splendid work of architecture. Well-known for being the largest fort ever built by Akbar, the marvellous structure is located on the banks of the confluence of the sangam river, Ganga and Yamuna.
8. Allahabad Pillar
Constructed by the Mughal Emperor Akbar, this 16th century structure is placed outside the Allahabad Fort. Inscriptions from Ashoka in the Brahmi script can be seen on the exterior of this pillar. Afterwards, Samudragupta and Jahangir have also added their inscriptions on this pillar in the Gupta script
